Elmira Downtown Development is proud to announce that preparations have begun for the annual 
Elmira Street Painting Festival! In 2009, more than 50 artists captivated the four-thousand visitors to the two-day festival. As this signature downtown Elmira event continues to grow, we are excited to announce some new and expanded initiatives for 2010:
Chalk It Up for our Youth : Taking place in Elmira’s Clemens’ Square, this “outdoor classroom” will teach 60 local students (grades 3 -12) the art of street painting while they explore and develop their own artistic abilities.
Finger Lakes Wine Tasting in partnership with Finger Lakes Wine Country Tourism Marketing Association.
The Artist Garden: More than 30 arts vendors will display their wares in Wisner Park.
Kid’s Area expanded in partnership with Bobby K Entertainment.
Multiple Live Music & Dance Acts throughout festival on both Water Street’s Main Stage and Wisner Park’s more intimate Park Stage.
Painted Barrels in conjunction with Finger Lakes Wine Country’s Painted Barrels Art Trail.
“Pop Up” Art Galleries located throughout downtown Elmira in partnership with ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes.
